The 2024 awards recognize our clients’ dedication to sustainability initiatives, reinforcing credibility and commitment to excellence. These companies and individuals are making a significant impact to drive sustainability and increase awareness and engagement through Assent’s network.
Doosan Bobcat
With a history dating back to 1947, Doosan Bobcat is the leader in the compact equipment industry. But Doosan Bobcat isn’t known only for quality products — it also has a comprehensive supply chain sustainability program. Doosan Bobcat was recognized with the Product Compliance Program of the Year award for their diligent work in maintaining a best-in-class SCIP submission program in addition to program enhancements to proactive prepare for PFAS reporting requirements. Doosan Bobcat has chosen to support The Village Family Service Centre in Fargo with their awarded donation.
Watts
Founded in 1874, Watts has a reputation for innovation and climate stewardship. Watts is taking a proactive approach to product sustainability, and recently initiated life cycle assessments (LCAs) for all products manufactured in its largest facility. In addition, Watts partnered with its top 100 suppliers to begin tracking scope 3 carbon emissions, and has centralized its EU and North American compliance programs on the Assent platform. Watts has chosen to support Make-A-Wish with their awarded donation.
Essex Furukawa
Essex Furukawa has been the leading global supplier of magnet wire since 1896, and is known for its robust sustainability program. Under its Vision 2030 program and Assent partnership, Essex Furukawa achieved a 70% reduction in scope 3 emissions compared to its 2021 baseline, while proactively identifying potential ESG risks related to forced labor, and human rights. The company has also implementing a strategic sourcing policy and new supplier code of conduct this year and as a result of their efforts, recently obtained the prestigious The Copper Mark certification at three North American facilities.
Essex Furukawa has chosen to support the United Way with their awarded donation.
Krisztina Strath, Global Procurement Manager at IMI
Krisztina Strath has been with IMI for more than 35 years, advocating for supply chain sustainability and spearheading supplier engagement programs. She works closely with IMI leadership to strategically connect decision-makers with data collected from over 3,500 suppliers. Krisztina is leading efforts to reduce substances of concern in IMI’s products, including an initiative to re-engineer products so they rely less on lead. She is also actively involved in external working groups to advocate for responsible mineral sourcing across her industry. IMI has chosen to support Save the Children with their awarded donation.
