The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) has released the newest version of the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template, the CMRT 5.12. The April 2019 update includes enhancements and bug corrections.
The CMRT is the industry-standard template for conflict mineral reporting and responsible mineral sourcing. Companies can leverage the CMRT to collect and deliver accurate mineral country of origin, smelter and refiner data, enabling them to demonstrate due diligence under regulations such as Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and the upcoming European Union Conflict Minerals Regulation.
The new version of the CMRT adopts changes to the smelter list that were incorporated on February 27, 2019.

- Corrections to all bugs and errors, including updates to ISO short names for country, state and province lists.
- Enhancements that do not conflict with IPC-1755.
- Updates to the Smelter Reference List and Standard Smelter List.
