This morning, August 22nd, the SEC voted 3-2 in favour of the final rules proposed for Dodd-Frank Section 1502 – Conflict Minerals.

In what was a long awaited vote, the SEC adopted several rule changes that will affect Conflict Mineral Reporting requirements including a new status of “DRC Conflict indeterminable” and calendar year reporting requirements (as opposed to fiscal year end).

Assent Compliance will be hosting a webinar on September 5th covering Conflict Minerals including the changes between the proposed and final rules.

Assent Compliance offers a turnkey Conflict Mineral Compliance service including Conflict Minerals Scope Assessments, Conflict Minerals Reasonable Country of Origin Inquiry, Conflict Minerals Reports, and Conflict Minerals Software for reviewable business records.”
