Karen A. Lobdell is Senior Manager, Product Management at Thomson Reuters.

Prior to joining Thomson Reuters in 2018 as a result of the Integration Point acquisition, she served for over 30 years in the domestic and international logistics industry, as well as the legal and consulting industries where she held numerous management positions in the areas of Operations, International Business Development, Sales and Trade Policy & Compliance. She is also a U.S. Licensed Customs Broker.

Ms. Lobdell’s focus for the past 25 years has been international business development and global trade compliance. Responsibilities include assisting companies with maximizing the efficiency of their supply chains and mitigating risk to enhance their overall business performance. Bringing experience from the carrier, broker, forwarder, and importer/exporter perspective, over the past twenty years she has focused on Supply Chain Risk Management, concentrating on government regulations, policies and initiatives affecting customers operating in the global markets, while providing guidance on how to use technology to enhance supply chain risk management.

Ms. Lobdell completed two terms as an appointed member of the Departmental Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of US Customs and Border Protection (“COAC”) to the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Treasury. She served as Trade Co-Chair for the twelfth term of COAC. During her terms she assisted the Committee with many critical topics related to trade facilitation and security, including program initiatives as well as legislative mandates. She is a current member of the COAC Forced Labor Working Group.

Ms. Lobdell is a current member of the Board of Governors for the American Association of Exporters & Importers, serving on multiple trade committees, including the China Trade Policy subcommittee focusing on Forced Labor. Additionally, she is a current member of the US Trade Support Network (TSN) and a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

Ms. Lobdell resides in Chicago and is an active volunteer for Nourishing Hope, a dynamic social services organization providing food, mental wellness counseling and other social services, such as job and housing assistance, to Chicago neighbors in need.
